Prenatal

Labor and Birth I, II, III

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: 27 weeks into pregnancy.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wednesdays from 3 – 5 pm

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursdays from 6 – 8 pm

Planning for the birth of your baby is an important step in preparing for your new addition. These classes, taught by registered nurses, are designed to help you learn about what to expect during labor and birth.

Healthy Pregnancy

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: Expectant Parent

Monthly, 4th Tuesday

Time: 5 – 7 pm

Commitment to healthy choices during pregnancy is important. This class provides important pregnancy information, including a checklist for each trimester.

Baby Care

Safe Baby-zzz

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: 27 weeks into pregnancy through six months after birth.

Monthly, 4th Thursday (2 class times)

Time: 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm

A safe sleep environment helps reduce a leading cause of infant mortality, and it’s as easy as ABC—always Alone, on their Back, in a Crib. Everyone who attends this class will receive a free pack ‘n play, sleep sack, and fitted crib sheet.

Parenting 101

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: expectant parents or parents of infants up to six weeks of age.

Monthly, 1st Tuesday

Time: 6 – 8 pm

Understanding and parenting your baby takes time and knowledge. This class will cover important topics such as infant choking, CPR, car seat and sleep safety and shaken baby syndrome.

Parenting 102

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: expectant parents or parents of infants up to six months of age.

Bimonthly, 2nd Tuesday

Time: 6 – 8 pm

Your baby will change so much in the first year and through these changes, the learning process continues. This class covers topics such as developmental milestones from birth through age one, bonding with your baby, responding to their emotional needs and brain development.

Life Skills

Life on Point

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: Expectant parent or parents of infants up to six months of age.

Monthly, 2nd Monday

Time: 6 – 8 pm

It’s up to you. How you handle stress, the boundaries you set, and what you say all impact your everyday life. In this class, you will learn key tips and techniques to strengthen your relationships and keep life on point.

Money Management

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: Expectant parent or parents of infants up to six months of age.

Quarterly, 3rd Monday

Time: 6 – 8 pm

Financial challenges can be overwhelming, but learning how to manage money and create a budget is helpful. This class is taught by Consumer Credit Counseling Services and covers topics such as online banking, saving vs. spending, consumer credit and debt management.

Parents and the Law

Onsite • No Cost

Eligibility: Expectant parent or parents of infants up to six months of age.

Quarterly, 1st Monday

Time: 6 – 8 pm

One facet of parenting involves your legal rights. Taught by an attorney, this class will address topics pertaining to paternity, custody, child support and parental rights.
